Youth Savings Accounts – Members under the age of 12
With just $5 to establish membership, your child can have their very own piece of OMEGA FCU, while learning to manage their money. Your child will feel SPECIAL with their very own savings account.
This account must have a parent or legal guardian as joint owner. Children and joint owners are both authorized users on the account. This account receives a quarterly statement. Deposits can be made at any time with no monthly limits and can be made through the mail, in person, or through payroll deduction. At age 12, all youth accounts are transferred to our Teen Advantage Savings Account.
Our Youth Members love our A’s Pays Program! Send us a copy of their report card with at least one “A” between October 1st and January 31st and they will receive one $10.00 deposit into their account. (Applies to students in Kindergarten to 12th Grade)
Teen Advantage Savings, Checking and Debit Card Accounts for our members aged 12-17
This account is similar to our Youth Account but starts to transition the account holder to handle their finances independently. Account statements are mailed quarterly or monthly with an active checking and there are no monthly service fees. As teens are more tech-savvy, Free online banking, eStatements and mobile banking might be a good addition to this account.
Teen Advantage Savings only members are eligible for ATM card. Teen Advantage Checking members are eligible for a debit card. Both the ATM and debit card offer Surcharge Free ATM access at all PNC and CU$ networks. A parent or legal guardian must be joint owner on this account. At age 18, Teen Advantage Accounts are transferred to the regular membership account.
This account also qualifies for the A’s Pays Program. If a teen member (up through 12th grade) sends a copy of their report card with at least one “A” between October 1st and January 31st they will receive one $10.00 deposit into their savings account.
