CHICAGO (MarketWatch) — Big banks, already suffering amid a storm of consumer scorn, just got another hit: Consumers gave substantially higher marks to smaller banks and credit unions in a new survey measuring customer satisfaction.
Credit unions scored a record high 87, on a 100-point scale, in the latest American Customer Satisfaction Index. That score, up nearly 9% over last year, outpaced every other tally for any of the 47 industries ACSI surveys.
